Hi everyone Razz

After a year, we were forced for the first time in our forum, to ban a member that was constantly starting conflicts!

well, as you can guess, heīs not happy! Rolling Eyes

He demands that we (adminstration) delete all of is mesages and threats us if we donīt do so!
Also, let us now that he will register again! Rolling Eyes

(a nice one, wasn`t he? Razz )

We ban ther username, and ther email account. What more should we do?
And as for the mesages? Is threre any obligation (law) to delet them?
It sounds absurd, the topics will lose all sense!!

Any advice on all of this matter?

Thanks much for listening Wink

You have no obligation to delete his posts at all, and it makes no sense for you to do so because, as you said, the topics wouldn't make sense. If he's that bothered then he shouldn't have acted in ways that got him banned in the first place - it is his own fault and he has only himself to blame.

^^Correct with the exception of any personal information, if that's the sort of thing he's requesting then you should delete that.

Should you ban IP address too?

I'd advise not too, unless it's an extreme case. IP addresses can be changed and can be shared so you could be shutting out other members or potential members as well.
