Please post your forumup url.

You can change the name of your forum (so for example "ForumUp English Language Support" here) in configuration. But you can not change the URL of your forum.

One last thing will probably clear this up for me. All I want to do is change the forumup name so, Here are the directions on my admin config page:

It is possible to use your own second level domain (http://www.YOUR_DOMAIN.abc) to redirect to your ForumUp forum. Contact your domain provider or support forum to obtain help: staff.forumup.us. It's necessary to buy DNS Service (eg. on EuroDNS) and redirect it to our IP:
67.15.203.6
(If You use a simple redirect You not pay ForumUp)

I redirected the ip but Im still searchable as the old forumup name. Can someone please tell me if this is pointless because it is no longer a feature?

You need to give the url to your ForumUp forum.

You must provide the URL of your ForumUp forum.

Like this forum's URL is

Yours would be along the lines of

if you do have a ForumUp forum. Where it says name, is your forums name or title, whatever you gave it when you set it up. (.com can be .it, .se, etc...)

The links you have posted do not appear to non-registered users(guests).

Now that you have given your URL, gg'ssimon or another moderator can help you with your problem. I'm not the smartest when it comes to redirecting sites, domains, etc.... Very Happy

You cannot change the domain name that is in the field. It will always be that way.

The only way to have somewhat of a different domain name is to have a redirection. Have your site redirect to the ForumUp site you created.

The URL of a website won't ever change. It is what it is. The URL is where the site is on the web. Your forum is on ForumUp's server, so that is what will show in the URL.

You can, in general, make one website be redirected to a different one. That means when you type in one URL of a website, instead of going to that website, it automatically winds up at another website. But then, at the final destinatin, the URL showing will be that of the webside you are on.

But, you cannot redirect a ForumUp to some other website. You can only do it the other way around- make the other website redirect to your forum.

To get your .info site redirect to your ForumUp forum, you need to contact the people who manage your .info URL. That matter is not something done in the admin panel. It is something you arrange with the host of your website or your domain name. Tell them the IP address that you see in your admin panel and have them redirect your .info URL to go to your ForumUp forum IP address.

So then, if you post a link with your .info URL, if people click on it, they will wind at your ForumUp forum, with the ForumUp forum URL showing.

If the situation is that you don't like the ForumUp URL you originally chose, sorry, but it is what is is now.

That does not say you can change your ForumUp URL. It says you can redirect some other URL to go to your ForumUp forum URL.

Redirect means that instead of going to the address typed in or clicked on in a link, you wind up someplace else- at some other web site.
