Strange. I can see your forum now. Before it went to a "page cannot be displayed" page.

Did you type the following to be the rank name?:

<font color=red>Site Admin

You put it exactly like that.

[Edit, code corrected. The word "font" was left out. Embarassed ]

You do actually go the way I said, but it may be the way I said it, as you said. So let me try again:

Go to the Admin Panel.

In the left sidebar, you go down to the last section, called User Admin.

Under User Admin you will find a link that says Ranks.

Click Ranks, and a page with the Ranks will open. It will look like this (below the "headlines"):

Site Admin - Edit Delete

Click Edit, and a page called Rank Administration will open.

On that page it will say:

Rank Title, and next to it there will be a "box" with the title Site Admin, like this:

Rank Title: Site Admin

There you type in <font color=red> in front of Site Admin, to make it say:

Rank Title: <font color=red>Site Admin

Then you click Submit at the bottom of the page.

Try this now, and go step by step. You should find the exact words that I have used above, as long as you are on the right track. And if you don't find it, please tell me exactly where you got stuck.

Edit: corrected code -- added "font".

Well, you've got the right idea, but the HTML you are using is wrong. Instead of typing <color=red>Site Admin, you need to type <font color=red>Site Admin</font>.

Check out this page on my site, you can see my "site admin" is in blue:

Oh my gosh! I left out the word "font"! Embarassed You are correct. It has to be <font color=nameofcolor>

I will edit my post above with the correction. Thanks for posting the correct code!

lol, that's ok. You should have seen what crazy stuff I came up with when I first started doing HTML, Heehee.

also, don't forget to put </font> on the end. It won't work without it.

Erm, in this particular case you should NOT put </font> at the end.

To not put it there is what makes the colour change also below the avatar, you see...

Never a rule without exceptions... Wink

Laughing I fixed your typo.

Yes. To clarify for all, if you only want the rank label to be in a certain color, then you put the </font>. If you want "Joined", "number of posts", etc. that shows up under avatars to also be that certain color, then you do NOT put the </font>.
