Hi chebby. The Debug Mode "failed to send email" problems come and go. Though it seems there are a lot of them at the moment. In that sense your forum may be proof of a trend...
Then again, it may have to do with the connection between the forum and the owner email, so if this persists -- while other forums have little or no problems -- then you may need to change the owner email.
I will in any case report the email Debug Mode to the Webmaster now, as it starts to look persistent.
And I'll try to get a "second opinion" on the question if your email problems can have anything to do with it.
In the meantime I'm afraid that you'll have to keep on truckin' -- or should that be vanin' -- manually...

I haven't received a reply notification email in serveral days. Nor have I received any pm notification emails.
I do not have a spam blocker. My email was "broken" but has been repaired (server email host changes) and working for the best part of a week.
New members aren't receiving their confirmation emails either. I've manually activated the registrations of those who have contacted me.
When I send a pm or reply to one, I get a DEBUG MODE error message.
Any help?
I see that for this support forum you are using the email address connected with your own domain, "@vintage-vans.com". There may still be a problem with your domain's email account. Double check it. Also, try with using a Yahoo.com email address.
I am getting all the email and PM notifications from the support forum to my Yahoo.com email address.
I suggest you try changing the email address in the configuration page of your forum to be a Yahoo.com email address and then see if there is still the problem. I'm not sure, but maybe some email handling programs don't like email extensions with hyphen's in the name?

The owner email address and the admin address (both mine) are different. I've had no issues with the "owner email" address...

I have rechecked my email address @vintage-vans again and it is in complete working order again. I receive all my other emails, including the reply notices from here! In fact, just until recently, I received all of the reply & pm notices for over a year from my own forum. Nothing has changed except for the fact I no longer receive them...
I would as you suggest change over my admin email address, but that would confuse many who still receive their notices. Also it would break the uniformity that I have built between the forum, our main web site and email contact.
So here's another possibility, let me know if it's feasible... Can the admin email address and my profile email address be different even though I'm the admin? Sounds like something from a SciFi flick....

Chebby, I did indeed mean Admin email, when I happened to write owner email. Sorry for the confusion.
Now, this looks a bit confusing as well:

Are you saying that some members still recieve their notices, from the forum, while you and new members don't?! At the very same time?!
Are there no newly registered members who have recieved their activation emails, through this period?
Do you get the Debug Mode "failed to send email" , if you post in a thread that you have marked for notification when a reply is posted?
Do your members get the Debug Mode "failed to send email", when they send you a PM?
If you get the Debug Mode, then all emails sent from the forum will be affected. Old and new accounts alike, so to speak.
I don't think the Debug Mode comes up for individual email problems, like bouncing and such.
If it is a Debug Mode, then chances are good that it is part of the recent epedemic of them. With no connection to your email accounts. I have reported that problem to Raulken.
If you don't get the debug mode, and if others still recieve notices through the Admin email, then you can indeed try to change your Profile email, to a Yahoo account. The settings accept it, even if it sounds SF...

I'm going to get more input from our members before I answer all the above questions, so I'll get back to you on this.
In the meantime, I have one more question... it's purpose being contacting those who have tried to register but never got to the activation stage....
When you send out a mass email, will it also go to those who haven't activated their registration? Those being the ones I really want to target at this time.... I've noticed that no one has activated their registration since 7/10. This is strange.... The only one who was activated I did manually after being in contact with him via email originally....

Yes, the mass email will reach all registered members.
I made an experiment on my testforum now, and the mass email reached the "new member" that I had not activated yet. And this was only minutes after registering that account. So, I'm sure it works.
Assuming that the emails from the forum work at all, at the moment.
Sending a mass email should establish if you have the Debug Mode or not.

That is exactly the same date as for the last automatically activated account on the Lithuanian support forum. And that is on the same server as .jobs.
I more and more believe that we can see a trend here...
If you are unsure about reaching the newly registered, but sure that they are "legit" members, then you could activate their accounts straight away, and put some info about this, and about the problem, on the index page of the forum.
It's more than likely that they will return, and then they can try to log in straight away, I mean. They will be pleased if it works, and if not, then they understand the problem, and can send an email to you. Make a temporary, empty and locked forum at the top, and put the info in the forum description field, for example.

I changed my profile email address, nothing, nada, zippo, didn't work...
but I am getting email notices for this forum!
The feedback is just coming in, 2 replies, Debug Mode messages all around and one said he doesn't get email reply notices. I might add that one of my members also has his own forum for their van club with the same problems. Also hosted by .jobs....
I'll return tomorrow with more info.
Thanks for the help and suggestions.

That makes sense, because this forum is on a different server, and does not suffer from the Debug Mode error at the moment.

And on the same server as .lt, with the same problem. I don't think we have to look further now. It is an email Debug Mode error on -- certain domains -- on that server.
Though more details are always welcome...
