Hey, I have only just got back on my forum. After a debug, offline, and now this. It is complelty differn't to the other problems. Here is the message;

Code:
Could not insert new word

DEBUG MODE

INSERT IGNORE INTO pokeproject_search_wordlist (word_text, word_common) VALUES ('aswell', 0), ('done', 0), ('free', 0), ('might', 0), ('one', 0), ('post', 0), ('send', 0)

Line : 235
File : functions_search.php

Basically when you post, this appears. When you go back to index it says the last person posted when you just tried and posted. Then when you view that topic you tried to post in, your post is actually there.

If you keep viewing the topic, and returning to forums. It updates after a bit. How long will this take this time to get fixed? I am getting a little worried and annoyed now.

Stuff like this keeps happening.

Thanks,
BlueEew.

Sorry for the double post, however I cannot edit and I have more information for the staff about the debug.

When you post, the debug message appaers.
When you return to that forum, it will say you didn't post last.
When you view the topic, your post is there.
Keep viewing for a while, and it will finally say you posted last.
However on forum index, it still dosen't say you posted last.
Also the forums post count dosen't go up, it stays the same.

Just thought I would give it to you in simple, to understand more about the debug.

This is still happening to us as well - it seems that the main page is reverting to a previous stored one (5th Oct) even when refreshed. The new posts are there but not visible until you click onto the last post.

Also nobody can post any new topics Rolling Eyes

Thanks for letting us know, blueeew. Details like that are often needed to find, and solve, the problem.

In this case it may very well be the server that needs to update and resync properly, and then "settle". With the slightest of luck, it will get better and better, and the Debug Mode could even vanish completely, when everything is up to speed again.

There are actually tools that you can use in the Admin Panel for things like this.

In Forum Admin >> Management on the far right, you will find the link Resync, on each forum.

Click that link, on each and every forum (or at least on every forum with new posts that won't appear), and see if it makes a difference; if not instantly, so "in the long run".

Similarly, for the members postcounts and such:

Go to User Admin >> Resync User Admin and you will find two options:

Resync User, where you can enter a member's username, and click Resync, to update the post total of that account.

Resync All Users where you click Resync, to update the post count for all members.

This could speed up the process, a little or a lot, depending on what the server is up to.

Last but not least. We fully understand that this is annoying, but it is apparently a problem that has proved to be more complicated than what it seemed to be at first, and elusive on top of that...

Sooz, you happened to post while I was typing away.

Try the Resync tools described in my post above, and see if it makes a difference.

Du you get any kind of Debug Mode message when you try to post new topics?

so infact the resync has brought us up to the point in time when I did it but isn't carrying forward. So I would have to resync again to bring the forum posts up to date?

Sooz, from what you say it seems that the server is struggling to Resync, and/or to get up to speed and settle (in "layman terms"). It may take hours for it to catch up completely.

Your efforts have at least proved that some things are working as they should.

Thanks a lot.

FoxLeonard

Using the re-sync dose work on most of my forums, forums. Only one dosen't refresh. Also the only thing that dosen't work what so ever is creating new topics.
