Failed sending email PHP Debug Mode Explanation.
This guide explains what happens, and what to do, when you get an Emailer Debug Mode. An error message like this:

The Emailer Debug Mode refers to
all emails sent from the forum, by use of the Admin email.
Notification emails, requested by members using
Notify me when a reply is posted, in the posting panel, and
Notify me about PMs, in their profiles.
When you and your members get the Debug Mode message on the forum, it means that the notification emails are not sent, but the
messages are posted, and the
PMs come through.
This is how you usually will come across the Emailer Debug Mode. But when you see it, it also means that:
Mass Emails don't work.
Activation emails for newly registered members, are not sent.
While the Activation emails are not working, the best thing to do is to put some clearly visible information about it on the index page -- write it in a forum description, at the top -- with an email adress where new members can reach you, so you can activate their accounts manually. (That kind of information is always good to have on the index page, or accessable from there).
If you register a new forum, or
if you register on a Support forum, and get the Emailer Debug Mode, it means that your automated Activation email will not be sent. And to request a new one will not work, until the Debug Mode is fixed. Instead you should register on

and report the problem.
Note that the Emailer Debug Mode can come and go by itself, within minutes or hours. If it persists, you need to report it to the Support Forum.
