.nz seems to have been a lot more reliable in the last few days. It's had a few time-out periods but nowhere near as bad as before.

As far as I understand, he has fixed it. But looking at the elusive nature of the problem to begin with, he may feel that an "official statement" to that effect is premature. At least that's my reasons for letting the notice on the index page stay...

The time outs you have experienced, were they yesterday, through the same period as when Irene and I had problems? See this thread:
