this doesnt show me how to add the video. im trying to add this video from youtube

Toshay, that guide shows you how to post videos in messages.

If you want to put the video on the Index page of your forum, go to:

Admin Panel >> Forum Admin >> Management

Create -- name -- a new forum in the Category where you want it, and click the [Create new forum] button.

Copy and paste the complete embed code for the video into the field called: Description

Double check that the closing tags </embed></object> are there. A missing > can make a mess of your forum.

Set Forum status to Locked, by use of the drop down menu.

Click [Create new forum] at the bottom.

The video should now show up on the Index page.

The code that you get from YouTube cannot be posted in actual forummessages, due to security reasons. If you want to use this code, it should be posted on the index page, the FoxLeonard described.

In messages in threads, you should do the following:
If the URL to your video is

Copy the part that is after v=, and put it between youtube tags. So that you get:

toshay, you can take that info from the address bar. At the end of the url it is shown.

For example, green part of the below url.

So were do i get the code from for the video that i want. Sorry if im sounding dumb founded. But im really lost! lol

As Ibrahim said, you get it from the last part of the direct URL in the adress bar on your browser. Circled in red on the screen shot below:
