^ I paid for no ads months ago, and up until today I have had my own code and graphics where the ads should be. I logon this morning and the ads are there - they slow down the forum immensely, and I need to get rid of them.

I'm not paying for no ads again so why is this happening??

Thanks,
Lizzie

You don't pay for the ads not showing for a year or something like that - you pay for 100,000 pageviews without ads. Now you have used your 100,000 pageviews and then the ads come back. Here's a better explanation of the pageviews:

Quote:
Note that pageviews is every time the forum page changes, such as for reading several different threads, or making several posts. It is not once per visitor. One person can use, for example, 15 pageviews per visit.

10 eur 100.000 pageviews:
forumup.it
forumup.co.uk
forumup.ca
forumup.us

In addition, when you have no ads showing on your forum, you get access to the Header and Footer space to add messages, such as is on this forum at the top. You can use HTML in these areas.

Please read

for more information.

As for the backups - you have never been able to download one. You're only able to download a backup when you have paid for over 700,000 views - which means you would have paid €80. You can read more about that in

.

So you can only get rid of the advertisements by paying for no-ads again. Wink

You can check how many pageviews are left in the admin panel - ForumUp - Special Features - Show without ads, the number it says there is how many ads-free you have left.

You can save some by using the ads-free for registered users only. You can find that option right under the 'Show without ads'. Smile

Next to "Remove ads for registered users ONLY." it says, "Registered" - is this right? Very Happy

For me it says "Public" and under there's a button that says "Update Registered". When you click that button, it will change to showing no-ads for registered users only. (You can easily check if it works if you log out and the ads are back).

But it will only work if you have pageviews (for no ads) again.
