Ales

You were kind enough before to help and the fix worked perfectly.

Now...
I know that "Upload image to post" will get an image off my desk top and I have used that.

I also have used the "URL" button under the "Subject" bar.

but I can't make the "Img" code do anything and can not find an example of how to use it, or I am using it wrong.

If possible could you give an example of it being used?

Blessings

Okay, lets see..

When you use "Upload image to post", you don't have to use any of the codes under the subject bar - just wait till the image is uploaded (the popup closes) and you'll see a code for a thumbnail image appear in the post box.

The URL tag is to make a link (although when you use

in front of the URL - it will work without the tag).

The IMG tag is to show a "complete" image (so not a thumbnail), when you use a direct link. Not sure if it makes sense, so here's an example:

I want an avatar topic on my forum - so I wanna show the avatars that I made (found, in this example). I'm uploading them at

and then get the "Direct link to image".

Now I click at the IMG tag (or just type [IMG ] (without the space)). Then place the direct link and close the IMG tag (again, you might aswell just type [/ IMG] (again, without the space)).

Code:
[img]http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/1407/95ymky8fu3.png[/img]

So ^ that is how the code you get looks. When you post that, you'll get to see this:

Of course you can do this with bigger photos/more photos, but I guess you get the idea of how to use it now. Smile

OK; I get that and I thank you much for it.

Now using the "Img" and/or "URL" can I upload from my desk top without going through the "upload image to post" = (http://www.postimage.org/), if I can; how do I get a URL for my desk top?

What I would like to do is to upload a picture/graphic as is from the desk top but if I go through (http://www.postimage.org/) they/it sizes the picture/graphic then adds a banner "click to view full size picture".

I would like to do away with that click here banner.

I am sorry for being so inept but slowly I am learning.

No, you cannot use img tags for images on your desktop. The image must be uploaded somewhere on the Interntet. You have two options for images on your computer: upload them via the link below the post box or upload them to a site for images (photobucket, imageshack, etc.) and then use the img tag with the URL that you recieve.
