There is definitely something not right with the e-mail feature of our forum.
I just saw that a new member had registered, but I don't get the activation mail.
I have waited an hour but still nothing. I think it's because of the server problems, but thought it would be okay to report it here.
Maybe other admins have encountered the same problem? _________________

As for now lets wait and see what happens. You can't think that everything will be working perfectly after the update. But I will report this to Rualken.
[admin edit: Was not an update. The servers were offline due an explosion and fire to the power source at the building the servers are in. gg'ssimon] _________________ Prior ForumUp Staff

I don't think that's the problem. This is the email address I've been using since I created the forum and it's been working fine up until yesterday.
Additionally, the users on my forum are not receiving notifications either and their email addresses vary (gmail, ISPs etc).
Thanks

I changed the address to my ISP and that worked.
I changed it back to hotmail and that worked also - strange.
My users who are on hotmail just started seeing notifications again. What did you do? _________________ hotro.forumup.com.au |

Hotmail has been know for a long time to not accept all email from ForumUp. Hotmail is not the best choice to use for email. Yahoo is much, much better. Never any problems with Yahoo.
If you post about emails not being received from ForumUp, you MUST include the email extensions not getting the emails. For example, @hotmail.com. _________________ Margaret /gg'ssimon~ForumUp World-Wide Administrator

Are you meaning that you have your forum set to Admin activation? That users don't get an activation email, rather you get the notifiation?
Please note that sometimes activation emails take more than one hour to arrive. It depends upon various factors, some not having anything to do with ForumUp. There have been times when it took a great many hours for an activation email to arrive.
So, after a whole day has gone by, have you now gotten the activation emails? (Remember to look in your spam/junk folder. Even if sometimes the mail from ForumUp goes directly to your inbox, sometimes some wind up in the spam/junk folder.) _________________ Margaret /gg'ssimon~ForumUp World-Wide Administrator
