no. Some guy called Wasted Sky Pirate downloaded a backup in a day.

I understand you are excited to get started on your own server, but need to stop right now! I told you that the webmaster Raulken is on vacation until September. He is the only one who can send the backup. I'm getting sick of your impatience and not paying attention to what was already said.

You are NOT gettting a backup until Raulken comes back from vacation to read his emails and then tend to them. Period. He is not reading work emails and doing ForumUp work while off on vacation!

It is not an emergency to get a backup. Your forum works just fine and can continue on as is on ForumUp for a little while longer. If you can't wait to start on your own forum on your own domain, then set it now and have two forums going at once.

I swear it wasnt Raulken though who gave us the back up along time ago..

.. when i requested one about 1 week ago, someone replied "we already send"

this week... no reply..

So now hes on Vacation .. Rolling Eyes

Fine.. i guess we'll have to stay on forumup for another 15 days Sad

Yes, it was Raulken. He is the Webmaster. Raulken is just his user name on the forums, not his real name. The email may have been signed with his real name, Graziano.

Stop and think hard. Last week you got a reply. Then I told you Raulken is now on vacation. You complain that this week, he didn't reply again. Now, wouldn't that indicate that THIS WEEK he is on vacation, but last week he was not?

Do not expect that in 15 days exactly you will get the backup. Raulken is not going to get off the airplane, rush to work without stopping at home, to then work 50 hours straight answering all the emails and tending to the requested tasks that piled up while he was on vacation. It will get done when it gets done.

Next, do you know how to implement the backup? It won't be a simple case of uploading one file. Note that ForumUp does not provide assistance for importing databases onto another server.

yes, i know exactly how to. Ive done it before with a backup from ages ago.

Ok, I guess I'll give forump 5/5 for its service Very Happy

and Wildcard 10/10 for being clever enough to start a forum here

im still waiting for my backup. Its been 2 weeks, and Raulken is apparently back from vacation..

... so, where is it?

I am sorry you do not yet have the backup. I understand your frustration. I suggest you email Raulken again. I today left him another message in our private staff forum.

I have given your forum 300,000 free "no-ads" to help keep the required "no ads" count high enough to get a backup.
