Hey my forum seems to have been blocked because apparently there was a violation; a user posted porn content I think, which wasn't endorsed by any of our admins or mods.
How do I unlock my forum? I want to delete the porn and ban the user, but I don't seem to have any means of getting back on the forum.

I got an email with this inside, can anyone lend me some advice?

I banned your forum because there was porn in public and hacking content.

This was in the 'No Rules Section' of your forum, which should not of been there in the first place! There should always be rules on every section of your forum no matter what.

I would unban your forum if the posts were very recent, but these posts had been made awhile ago, under other threads; so a moderator or admin should of seen it and deleted it but they did not.

Your forum will not be unbanned, you need to keep close moderation on your forum.

I see, that makes sense and is logical.
Is there any chance I'd be able to copy some of the posts that were made due to archiving purposes? There are public blogs on there that I never had a chance to back up, so if I could copy them that would be great.

Also, I never received a warning email or anything, had I received one reminding me of the rules I was breaking, I would have gladly deleted that bad posts as well as the No Rules Forum all together. I also understand that It's my fault for making the No Rules section in the first place; it slipped my mind that there was a overlying code that I needed to abide to, and I thank you for reminding me. If I could be given a second chance with the knowledge you have shown me, I would by all means clean up the forum with a much closer eye, as well as delete any thread and forum that breaks the rules.

Please consider my intent wasn't to break the rules by any means, the idea of the "No Rules Forum" was a joke and intended to just be laughable. I simply was absent minded when it came to that area and needed someone to remind me, so thank you.

I will have to consult with other staff on your request. Since it was only 2 threads we may be able to undo the ban if deemed appropriate.

As for a warning, the only warnings we give are for illegal downloads and some other things; also when we do give warnings they are a courtesy of ForumUp.

Also please continue this discussion in the other thread:
