i know that you can edit the subsilver theme ,but do you find it confusing when you want to edit it trying to figure out which is table row from table cell , does any one have a screen shot of the subsilver theme ,over layed with arrows pointing out the various tables , it may be useful as a guide for beginers who want to experiment with changing the way it looks

That would be helpful, but I never found such a thing. I just used trial and error.

But, first, be sure to have another template installed on your forum. The ForumUp theme looks almost exactly like subSilver. Make the theme you are NOT experimenting with be the default theme. But do allow the choice for users to select themes. That is necessary in case you make a big mistake and mess up the theme you are experimenting with to where you can't hardly see anything. Then the uses don't see the mess, and you can then get to your profile to change your viewing theme to the good one, so you can then easily see in the admin panel.

Very nice! Did you mean to put something in the blank boxes? If you can fill those in with the correct info I myself can take it into a program and make it more appealing and clean. Then post it on a tutorial for users to use. Smile

These three might be altered through a HTML code, I could be wrong.

I've never been good with styles and altering them. I usually leave those questions to other staff. Embarassed

Those would be Table Header Class 1, 2 and 3. In subSilver two, they have images in those field- cellpic1.gif, cellpic2.gif, cellpic3.gif. If one wanted to change the colors for those fields, on has to remove the cellpic gifs, and replace them with a color code.

I can recommend the use of "Webdeveloper", an Ad-on for Firefox. With that tool you can view the css in detail. Also you can see the html behind a page. I find it very useful!
