Has he responded to it yet? I have members that need to be able to check the forums in around four hours to get details for the event that we are running tomorrow.

No, the webmaster did not respond yet.

That server that has the .com.au, .dk and .vn forums has been going on an off for weeks. Those three domains are on the same server.

You might consider making a new forum on one of the other domains that are not on that same server. Not that that will be of help to your members in the next four hours, but for the future.

Well, 24 hours without our forum now and no answer!
That is not very responsible.

Any news? Our forum is still down.

What is the process to transfer to a forumup.com indtead? Will we lose any posts/settings etc?

We use our forum on a daily basis and the regular downtime is has serious effects.

Your suggestion of making a new forum is a little bit odd, I think.

People have registered to join the discussions on our registered website name, we advertise some meetings there. How should we be able to tell people that we have another forum, when the forum is down?

Here in Denmark all bank cards did not work the other night anywhere in the country, in Sweden all Swedish websites were "removed" from the web abnother night, but the problems were solved, and information was sent out, so that we knew what was happening.

Here no information is given.

We have been more or less down for nearly 3 month now. Whatīs going on? Now and then web-sites goes down and after a certain time, as usual faster than 24 hours, they are up and running again. But not here. When you canīt get it running after three month, I donīt think you ever will. That must be a question of resources that I beleive you donīt want to use to solve the problem.

Could you please ask Raulken to give an honest feedback on how and when he will find a solution - or should we instead find another provider????

The current problem is possibly what it has been for the past 3 months, a Denial of Service Attack. Read our other thread about it at:

The .co.uk forums used to be on the same server with the .dk, .com.au and .vn forums, but the .co.uk forums were moved to a different server a few weeks ago. I don't believe it is a resource problem, as in that the server was too full, since now it has less on it.

I was in contact by a chat program with Raulken a few days about some issues with ForumUp not yet having been handled, and Raulken said all ForumUp matters are for Stefano to handle. Raulken said during that chat that he would speak to Stefano about ForumUp.

Except, I do believe it is up to Raulken to decide about the servers, since Raulken is the owner.

Anyway, it is all up to Raulken and Stefano to keep track of problems and try to fix them, and also to respond. The forum staff has always left messages in the private staff section for Stefano when users report a problem.

Do note that the forum staff, all the moderators, admins and me, are volunteers who live in various cities in countries around the world. None of us see Raulken or Stefano in person at some office somewhere. Raulken and Stefano live in Italy.

As to whether you should find a different provider, that is up to you to decide.

No news yet.

So far, Raulken has not made it so an individual forum could transfer from one ForumUp domain to another ForumUp domain.

Since the .dk, .vn and .com.au forums are on the same server that has been having problems for the past three months with down times that last more than a day, my suggestion is to make a forum on one of the other ForumUp domains that has not had that problem. You can keep both forums, and use the second one for when the first is not available.

Well, it is what it is. The forum staff try to get information and we do share what information we get from Stefano or Raulken.

Well, we have to tell our members that forumup is not reliable why they cannot expect our forum to be working properly until we have found another place and made it run.

As far as I understand we loose all registrations and content. Even if we make on another server. Or am I wrong?

That is correct. You would be making a brand new forum and people would need to register on the new forum.
