Is there a way to do this? Or do I have to go and individually delete each post???? Thanks! |

Does this concern a banned user? Have you deleted the usuer's account?
If the posts are still there after you have deleted the user's account then the only option would be to delete them one at a time. _________________ Diane

It's a user who wants to leave, and wants all of her posts deleted. If I just delete the user, will that delete all of her posts? |

I think it does.
But in case it doesn't, I don't think such requests from users deciding to leave the forum should be honored. It's like an angry 6 year-old getting mad at his playmates, taking all his toys and stomping off.
The person posted their messages as a member of the forum, and they are now part of the forum. You can, of course, chose to go one by one and delete that user's posts, if deleting her account doesn't do it. _________________ Margaret /gg'ssimon~ForumUp World-Wide Administrator

Thank you. That is basically what is going on here, and unfortunately the user is a friend of mine. So I will try just deleting and if that doesn't work then I have about a thousand posts to delete. |

No. If it doesn't work, allow users to edit their posts, at least temporarily if they don't already have that option, and tell this person she has 48 hours or whatever to edit all her own posts to take away her messages. That will just leave a blank box. Let HER spend the time to do all the work since she is just having a tantrum. _________________ Margaret /gg'ssimon~ForumUp World-Wide Administrator

Deletion of a User, sets their status to 'Guest'.
They are removed from the Memberlist. All Posts remain. _________________ Please post your Forum URL with each query.
