Post as a reply to this thread if you received the following error message:

Quote:
phpBB : Critical Error

Could not connect to the database

However, before you report it, wait 1 hour, then try again. Usually your forum will be back and working fine then. If it is not, then post about it.

Also understand that on every single website on the planet, there will be some offline times. You do not need to report the occasional instance of your forum having gone offline for a few minutes.

Hi. Thanks for the information.

This is happening more and more on .com. .co.uk works great and I have a backup on there, it's fast, it rarely (if ever) crashes.
If you did backups I'd love to transfer my .com over to .co.uk.

Backups are available now, please read the announcement in the Messages from Staff folder for details. However you cannot import to ForumUp, so you cannot transfer your forum from one domain to a different one in this way.

Ok getting a Critical Error trying to open my forum its been like this since last night, at first I thought it was just a little thing and would be fixed soon. but after seeing it still down this morning I thought "what if they didn't know it was down." (can't fix it if ya don't know about it)
well anyways here is the whole error that I get:

phpBB : Critical Error

Could not query config information

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 1033 Incorrect information in file: './forumcom/foxesandfriends_config.frm'

SELECT * FROM foxesandfriends_config

Line : 242
File : common.php

We've notified the webmaster about this, so he's probably working on fixing it.

Thanks for letting us know & sorry about the down time.

My forum has been down for over 48 hours. Even after most of the forums went back up, it's still been past 8 hours.... I received both errors, the debug mode and the critical error thing.
