Post as a reply to this thread your logo questions.
First, you need to have read our Guide on changing the logo at

and also FAQ #11 at

If you don't understand, read them a second time, and try to follow the instructions again.
Here is what FAQ#11 says:
11 - How can I change the logo that is on the top corner of templates?
First, to find the URL of a logo image, right click on it, select "properties". Then you will see the complete URL of that image, but do not use the complete URL in the "Logo from" box.
In your Admin panel, go to Style -> ForumUp Theme. Click on ForumUp Theme. That will bring up the "Theme Logo Change" page. Note with using the ForumUp Theme tool, you can only make that change for one template. If you then do it to another template, the first one will revert back to how it was.
Where is says "Logo From", you do not put any punctuation or html code marks around the name of the original logo. You do not put the complete URL of the original logo image. You only put part of it.
Samples of how it should be. You use the partial URL of the logo image on YOUR template.
Code:
templates/aluminoid/images/aluminoid_logo.gif
or
Code:
templates/Acid/images/mylogo.gif
Note: Do NOT put a forward slash "/", in front of it.
In the "Logo to" box, you do put the complete URL of the new logo, but again, with no html codes around it. For example:
Code:
http://www.yourhostimage.com/yourlogo.gif
Also, the name of your image should not have underscores ( _ ) or hyphens ( - ) in it as they make the image not show up all the time.
If you can't make the logo work, read the directions again, and make sure you are doing exactly as they say.
Do NOT put a / in front of the partial url in the Logo from section. Many people make that mistake.
The following Style templates are not compatible with the ForumUp Theme tool.

Happy New Years Eve to all!
Question regarding changing the image/logo on the AshGrunge template... I installed the template on my test forum
Only registered users can see links on this forum! Register or Login on forum!
and changed the logo to my image/logo... but because the template is designed so that the red-color area is blended with the black background... the straight-edge of my image looks out of place.
Anyone familiar with the AshGrunge template? Wondering how I may be able to have my image/logo place a bit to the right, or any other way around the straight edge??
Also, is there a way I can add the name of my forum/text on the right side/top under the function buttons (FAQ, Profile, etc..)?
Any ideas would be appreciated!!
Thanks,
Jacko

Thanks, Fortran.
While you did that, I had a look at the BBTech template...
That particular logo is a Flashplayer animation, which means that you cannot change it with any of the ForumUp options. It requires full access to the forum software.
You will unfortunately have to choose another template, if you want to use your own logo.
I see that I happened to write "put your forum in your profile", up there. I meant to say: Please put the link to your forum in your signature, as I have done. Then it will show up with every question.

hi. my new forumup forum is
Only registered users can see links on this forum! Register or Login on forum!
I am trying to make it usable for my classmates in university because we don't have support from the university servers, so i want something familiar according the university.
I want to ask if there is a way to change logo and header of the
orange theme to custom made .gif images. actually i'm gonna edit
existing logo and header. (just type on them).
I read the guide to change logo and banner but as i understand I can change to logo and header only by replacing them with others.
There is no way to get to the "banner" part, because you don't have access to the image folders on a multiforum setup like ForumUp.
If you want a banner, you must look for another template. One with a "banner type logo"; one image that goes all across the top.
If you can rightclick it, and get the properties, and download the image, then you can usually also change it with the tool in the Admin Panel.
You can also look for template demos that have the text:
ForumUP Styles Demo
Preview all themes for your ForumUp forum.
On many of them you can change the logo, and put a banner next to it, in the site description, where it says Preview all themes for your ForumUp forum.
To do that:
Go to the Admin Panel >> General Admin >> Configuration
And put an image link like this in the "Site Description" box:
Code:
<img src=http://urlandnameofyourpicture>
When you copy and paste, make sure that the code is in one single line, like the example above.
And not like this for example:
Code:
<img src=
http://urlandnameofyourpicture>
Double check that you have got the whole code in the box, including the last >, before you click submit.
