Penguin, if it worked for hejlouise, on .DK -- a "bug free" domain at the moment -- but not for you, on a .BE forum, then I start to wonder if the other problems on .BE affect the backups too.
Apart from the Trojan etc problem, there are loading problems, and some other glitches as well on .BE (and .US), and it would in a sense be strange if the backups were not affected by all this...
Just a thought, and no real help, I know...

Backup not working on .DK anymore - i.e., I receive a link, and am able to request the backup, but not gzip it - and therefore the result is an incomplete backup file. Have sent an email to

, hopefully Raulken can help.

An update:
Backup actually working fine, but our forum had grown so big that the file apparently couldn't be generated (or couldn't be zipped, 230000+ posts).
This shouldn't be a problem for most users, but it would be nice if Raulken or somebody else could for example delete the search indexes upon request, since they take up a lot of space.

Ruby, if you are using hotmail, then you will not get any emails from your forum, because hotmail has decided to block ForumUp .org, for no apparent reason. I made a test a got this message to my owner email:
Code:
Connected to 65.54.244.8 but sender was rejected.
Remote host said: 550 OU-002 Mail rejected by Windows Live Hotmail for
policy reasons. Reasons for rejection may be related to content with
spam-like characteristics or IP/domain reputation problems.
But if your owner email is hotmail, it will not allow the rejection email from the "postmaster" to come through either, of course.
There are some more details in this topic:

So, if you are using hotmail, then you need to change the owner email (not just the Admin email, mind you), I'm afraid.
Yahoo works, for example.

Ruby, I don't know what has happened in this case.
All I know is that the backups are still in development, and there are glitches, and unsuspected problems, of different kinds. For example the problem with the too big zip file from big forums, described by Hejlouise, above.
Several forums on the .ORG domain had Debug Modes a little less than a month ago, and a couple of forums "crashed" on the server harddrive. Perhaps this affected something in connection to the backups. But that's just speculation based on logic...
I will report your problem to Raulken, because he is the only one who can look into it properly.
