For members of forums who did not get their activation email, see the guide in the Guides and Tutorials folder:

AOL blocks a LOT of things they have decided is spam. Their customers get NO choice in the matter. AOL is not good for anything other than persona email between friends and relatives, since they block so many things.

Tell members who have AOL email account that they have to open another email account in order to get ForumUp emails. Yahoo.com ALWAYS delivers ALL ForumUp email. It is free to open a Yahoo email account.

A site I'm a moderator of had the same problem. I wasn't able to access it originally. But I have a paid localdial.com account that I use, not a free hotmail or yahoo account. When I eventually got accepted as a member, I got the email straight through; it didn't fall into any junk or spam folders. I'd like to know why I didn't get the email at the beginning when I have a very different email account to most and why there are other members of the site, not with localdial accounts but many not with popular free accounts, who are having the same problem, and why several people have easy, immediate access who have MSN and hotmail accounts.
