I suspect some of my new users are not getting activation emails, what can I do about this?

Also, under 'user admin' in the control panel, could I click management, find a user then switch their "user is actice" to yes? & that will by pass the activation email?

Yes you could do that and activate them that way.

For a future reference don't title threads with "Help" Wink

I looked at most of your members and by the looks of it, about 20 of them are bots

Don't just go activating unactivated accounts. As was posted, some of those "members" are not real humans. They are fake registrations made by computer programs called "spambots".

The following are spambots. I recognize the names from many of the staff forums as not being real people. Others on your memberlist are probably spambots too. If you check their profile in the admin panel, and the language is set to Albanian, and the email address is not a usual kind of email address, and they did not self activate, then they would be spambots.

Enceder57
Poder
Adjobastard
Terderup77

Instead of assuming people don't get the activation email, post a message for helping people who didn't get it. If they are humans, they can read the message and do what it says.

You can post it on your forum.

Please do not title your posts here "help". Give a description of what you need help with.

Yes I am aware 6 of my members are bots, the rest are not, they are people I have asked to join, and hence why I want to activate their accounts for them.

I have banned the bots email domains .info etc & haven’t had any register since, I just have not got around to deleting them.

Oh, ok. Just making sure you didn't think the bots were real humans.

You had said you "suspect" some new members did not get the activation email. Do you know for sure? Be sure to post a message on your forum telling new registrants to look in their spam folders of their email accounts.
