Bulletin Board Codes (BBCode)

ForumUp has introduced some additional BBCode tags. The tags need to be typed in the post since there is no button for them for automatic insertion.

HTML is not needed to be activated any more and you no longer need to add "allowed" html tags in the admin panel in order to be able to have centering and to have videos embedded in posts! Now members who did not activate HTML in their profile, and even guests, will see the videos instead of only HTML code.

Videos

The tags remove all the need to play around with complex HTML code. All you do is place the filename of your media file, between the tags. The following media hosts are supported.

Livevideo

Bolt

You put the ID number of the video inbetween the bbcode tags instead of the stars.

PhotoBucket

For PhotoBucket videos, you put the url string they assign. See sample below:

Centering

You can now center things in a post. You put your text between the center tags:

Wiki

Also included is a tag for ‘wiki’, that automatically create a reference link to the Wikipedia database. You have to put the language in the code after the word "wiki". See below:

[wiki=nl]url[/wiki] [wiki=it]url[/wiki]

Will become a link directly to Wikipedia in the chosen language.
