ForumUp now has backups in a preliminary (beginning) stage.
NOTE: The process has some problems. Read Raulken's messages below this post! Backup are done at your own risk and you cannot get a refund if it does not work. You are actually paying for a lot of no ads. It is not a backup in and of itself that you are paying for. Backups are a feature of having paid for a lot of no ads.
At this time, the conditions are as follows:
You must pay to remove advertisements for over 700,000 views, at least equaling 700,001. You pay via Paypal in the Admin Control Panel > ForumUp.
For Forumup.com, it is 10 euros for 150.000 pageviews of no ads. So you need to pay for 5 "sets" of no ads to make it be over 700,000 page views. 150,000 x 5= 750,000 page views. That would be 50 euros. There is no way to pay for exactly 700,001 page views, since you can't order 1/2, 1/4, etc. It has to be whole numbers.

Feb. 26, 2007, 1 US Dollar = 0.75976 Euro.
1 Euro = 1.31721 US Dollar
50 Euro = 65.86050 US Dollar
So to get a backup for a ForumUp.com forum, it would cost approximately US$65.86.
Different ForumUp domains have different prices. For example, on ForumUp.com, it costs 10 euros for 150.000 pageviews of no ads. On ForumUp.in, it costs 10 eur 200.000 pageviews.
These conditions are preliminary and will be adapted in the future, with the intention for the price to be lowered.
You will receive a file with your forum's tables. The data is portable to a non-ForumUp PHP / MySQL database. It cannot be used to change from one ForumUp domain to another ForumUp domain, nor can it be uploaded to ForumUp servers in the event that parts of your forum later on got deleted by you or some other person on your forum. If you intend to keep your forum with ForumUp, the backup is of no use to you.
In addition, subscribing to 'View without Ad's', allows you to use the HTML Heater and Footer, available in the Admin Panel > ForumUp page. Of course, if you are planning to move your forum to another host, that is irrelevant to you.
The following ForumUp domains all have the same conditions as ForumUp.com 10 euros for 150.000 pageviews of no ads:

PAY QUESTION: If you buy "remove ads" and get the ads removed, you cannot ask for a refund for NO BACKUP because you have a problem or long time, or error or other questions about it. Backup is a alternative if you are a good customer and buy many "remove ads". Backup is not easy. Backup can have problems on transaction and can need your work on it (sql. server, system, operation ssytem, mysql etc). Backup can require more than 1 week of elaboration.
Remember, you not have a refund of your money for backup! You are free to close here WITHOUT PAY and open another forum on your server, if you want TRY to get backup it is completly YOUR RISK.
FIRST STEP: confirm email owner (You can try only 1 time a day for security reason!)
1) Before all login into admin panel
2) You must be the owner and your email owner must be active because the server sends a special link (remember login into admin panel before click)
3) after click on link U see: >> another click and continue
II STEP: download backup (try to use a speed internet connection for big database, but DO NOT USE internet accelerator for download like getright etc)
1) select "Full backup"
2) Gzip compress file to YES
3) press START BACKUP and WAIT, not other click (Your download will start shortly; please wait until it begins.)
4) simple download, not use accelerator or you block download and will be banned!!!
III STEP open the file:
1) phpbb_db_backup.sql.gz use winrar -> phpbb_db_backup.sql
2) rename phpbb_db_backup.sql to phpbb_db_backup.sql.tar
3) use anothet time winrar and extract phpbb_db_backup.sql
NOW YOU HAVE FINISHED with forumup but start a new big problems:
IMPORT INTO YOUR MYSQL
(an advanced user can import into any type of database, staff forumup not support this help but U can anyway open a topic here)

f. explain in easy english your problem: banned from forum, backup are hard etc
g. remember, you can ask me to send your backup only after all try... and never before 2 weeks of try...
For the last time remember: you never can ask refund!
