My website is

(FYI)

Since my forum is just starting out, i decided that i would disable the need for e-mail confermation (Through general configeration).

When i tried to change the setting, (clicked account activiation, none, then submit). I went back to check to see if the change had taken place, and it had not. I thought maybe clearing out my cookies and web history would help. It still has not helped. I've also tried to change the need for the Jave confermation code when signing up, and actually tried to close the forum. I've found that i can do neither of those either.

Could you please help me, and maybe explain why i can't change anything?

That radio button is disabled. Sorry. You either have to have an email confirmation or an admin confirmation.

Yes, headorange. The Disable forum button is disabled, for safety reasons.

If you want to do some special work, then just make the needed sections -- or all sections -- viewable to the Admin only, while you are working.

Well, you should preferably keep one forum visible, and give some information there about what you are doing, to make sure that they don't think the forum has disappeared into thin air.

Another option is to lock some or all forums while you are working.

But none of it is needed, you can make every possible change while members are logged on, and in the middle of posting.
