Hi Locke, I moved your topic, as the section you posted in is for ideas and such, rather than for support questions.

Most guides and tutorials are actually quite easy to follow if you do it step by step, preferably with the tutorial in one window/tab, and the Admin Panel in another.

But sometimes it can indeed be easier if someone explains the same thing in other words.

But to make that possilbe, you will have to tell us in more detail how and where you get stuck. The more details the better. Then I am sure that we can help you... just like magic... Laughing

We have all been completly new to this, at one point, so don't worry about that, Locke.

If you by Arcade mean a complete Arcade Mod/Hack, then you cannot put one of those on your forum, for the simple reason that you don't have personal access to the forum software; it is the same software for all forums on the server.

But you can put (arcade) games on your forum, in forum descriptions. The guide is here:

From what you said in your first post I guess that this could be the guide you have difficulties to understand. If so, it is much easier to help you with an actual example...

Arrow Start by finding a game that you want, and get the code for it.

Arrow Copy and paste the code in this topic, and use Code tags -- the button is next to the Quote button in the posting panel -- so it looks like this:
Code:

the code goes here

And we will tell you exactly what to do with it, and how to do it.

We don't have any kinds of modifications like that. Actually, all the mods that we have are already installed and you can't add or remove them. If you want games and such, you'll have to search on the Internet for <embed> codes.

Locke, that's not what I meant. What I tried to say was that if you had problems, then you should post the code here, in this thread, using the Code tags, I must have confused you. Sorry about that.

Now, as you have a code for a game, go to:

Admin Panel >> Forum Admin >> Management

Create a new forum.

Where it says Forum Status choose the status Locked on the drop down menu.

Copy the game code, and make sure that the code is complete, ending with a tag like </embed> or similar.

Paste the code into the field called Description.

Click the Submit button at the bottom.

Go to the index page, and you should find the game there.

Note that it is basically the same as when you create an ordinary forum, as you have done on your forum already. the only difference is that you paste a game code where you normally write the description.

If it does not work, for one reason or another, then copy the code and paste it here, in this topic, using the code tags. Not on your own forum this time... Wink
