Hey, I was just wondering what exactly ad removal removes. Dose it remove the following;
1) Top ad block?
2) Bottom ad block?
3) Create your own forum on ForumUp.org, It's free, powerful, and fast! <-- This link at the top?
4) Digg, Blog Reactions, Donate at the bottom?
5) The ForumUp copyright at the very bottom?
Thanks,
BlueEew.

Good question Blueeew. It makes me wonder why we don't have information about it. It was obvious when there were only ads, but less so now, for sure...

Yes, and you get access to that same space, the Header, where you can put banners and info (like the Staff Communications "box" on this forum) and such, in HTML.

2) Bottom ad block?
Yes, which means that the Footer (similar to the Header) ends up right below the "Who is online", and becomes more useful than now, when it shows up below the ads.

I think so, but I'm honestly not 100% sure. It seems that it was an awful long time ago that I saw it on my forum. But if it stays, it is in any case not there all the time, as you know.

No. Those are not Advertisements. They are links to sites -- so called

-- where you and your members can promote your forum, and get reactions; get on "Top Lists" and such.
You can however switch them off and on (one and one, or all) from the Admin Panel >> General Configuration >> ForumUp.
Where you also find the Header and Footer, called HTML code on top/bottom of all pages.

Donate at the bottom?
No. That button enables your members to help you pay for Ads Removal, through PayPal. The members can click it and pay, just as you do from the Admin Panel.
You can however switch the Donate Button off/on from the Admin Panel (see above).

No, that tiny link stays, as does the phpBB copyright next to it.
I believe that should be all...

Ads are just that- actual advertisements for something. So Ad removal takes away the advertisements, all of them- the top ads and the bottom ads. There really would not be a need to add to the post we have about ad removal that both the top and bottom ads would be removed, since "ad removal" would indicate that any and all ads are removed.
If one looks in one's admin panel, one would see where one can have the DIGG, PayPal, etc. not show. But anyway, Llnks to PayPal, Digg, etc. are not advertisements; they are links to another site.

A copyright notice is not an advertisement. It is a notice of copyright. Furthermore, if anyone somehow does remove the copyright notice from their forum, their forum will be banned.
