Rev, if you have tried to use that exact code, and nothing more, then I fully understand if you have problems.

The code is missing this part of the URL (or something like it rather):

Code:
http://whateverthesiteiscalled.com/

This is similar to the code you have tried to use:

/templates/subSilver/images/logo_phpBB.gif -- it takes you nowhere, as you can see...

But add the URL of the site:

-- and it takes you to the logo on this forum.

If you by chance have tried the full URLs, and just happened to make a mistake when posting it here, then we need to know where on your forum you are trying to put the images, and what code you use to do it.

While I'm at it, just a quick comment about this:

Emphasis added.

Half an hour is a bit optimistic, but in most cases you can get help very fast, if you provide all relevant details with your inquiry.

In this case all such information was missing, like, what images goes where on the forum, and what codes -- URLs as well as BB or HTML -- have been used, and failed.

With all those details you would have had a full reply, and most probably the problem solved, in Nicole's post above.

With all respect Rev, the code you have provided, and tried to use is not complete. It is missing essential parts. There must be a "http part" in the URL to make it work on the internet.

What it does not necessarily need is the

part. It can for example be similar to the ForumUp URLs, or it can begin with a server code and number, for example, but it cannot possibly be a URL without

and the name of the site/server etc.

I assume that the images are posted somewhere on the internet, and that you can access them there. Right click the image there, and copy the properties. I am sure they begin with

(unless that part is blocked by some obscure software that I have never heard of).

Only pictures from the Internet can be displayed on your forum by using BB codes. You need to upload them somewhere on the web and than use the URL between IMG tags.

Another option is to use the link Upload image to post, which appears whenever you post a message. This way you won't need to upload the pictures anywhere else.
