I haven't seemed to find the answer in the posts available. And I can't seem to find a way to do it within the admin section of my forum, is there a way to see an extended log of people who have accessed the forum. I.e. can I go back say 3-4 months and see everyone who has logged in or posted? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

To my knowledge I do not think this is a featrue of ForumUp. It maybe a "mod" for other forum providers but ForumUp does not provide this.

That is one feature we are very glad is not available with Forumup... not having logs and records of people visiting and posting on the forum, IP numbers, etc... is a "good thing" Very Happy Information that you don't have.... is info that you cannot be forced to turn over when, if, someone files a bogus lawsuit.

Unfortunately there are people out there with evil motives and bad intentions... and they don't care who they hurt to get what they want. Even more unfortunate, when they use the legal system for their personal gain... or try to. It happened to us (our forum), luckily we didn't have any of the logs or records the guy was trying to get... so in the end he got nothing! Chalk up one for the good guys! lol Wink

Honestly, we never thought things like that were a big deal or anything to worry about until we realized (the hard way) how easy it can be for bad people to manipulate circumstances and the legal system to try and get identifying & personal information on other people (posters)... now we know better and are grateful the lawsuit forced us to wise up, learn the law, and learn how to protect those that visit our forums. Mr. Green

Just my 2 cents... sorry for stepping on your thread... just wanted to offer another perspective and the "up-side" to Forumup not offering that feature.

Jacko
