At the moment I do not think that the server is going "up and down" by itself. It's more likely to be Raulken making the finishing touches, so to speak.
As stated earlier in this thread, Raulken has nothing to gain from not solving this problem as fast as at all possible.

This is now beyond a joke....
If there is anything resembling a joke, it is my desperate attempts to keep the Index information up to date. Whatever info I leave on there when I go to bed, it is likely to have been wrong while I was asleep, just to be back to correct when I check in here after breakfast...

Yes, the server is offline again, and it has been so for too long to be because of ongoing work, as far as I can determine. I do not know the details, but it's apparently a struggle for the Webmaster to keep it online -- or "open" is perhaps a better word, considering the actual problem...

Irene, I hope you meant to say .net and not .uk, as the latter is on a different server, unaffected by the current problem. There may have been a glitch or two while I wasn't watching, but it's in any case online now, as it has been through all of this.

I can fully understand and respect that you and your members are fed up. There is no good way to argue against it. But, as I said earlier in this thread: this kind of "freak" -- uncommon and apparently elusive -- problem can actually happen to anybody on the internet. Better resources in money and manpower is no guarantee against it, so to speak.

Yes, all domains are back online once again, at the time of posting. But we dare not say that the problem is gone, until there is a "fixed" message from Raulken.

Since the server is going on and offline and on again for days, it is not necessary for us to keep saying "up again", "off again", "up again" every few hours.
When it seems the problem is fully resolved, we will post a message.
In the meantime, keep trying to access your forums periodically and make use of any up time there may be.
Again, we apologize for the inconvenience and annoyance.
