Argue, I guess that you have changed the member's Rank in the Profile and nothing else.

To actually make someone an Admin, you go to:

Admin Panel >> User Admin >> Permissions

Type/paste in the username and click Look Up User.

On the top left of the page that comes up, you will find

User level: with a drop down menu next to it.

Choose Administrator on the menu, and click Submit at the bottom of the page.

Exclamation Make sure that you can fully trust someone that you appoint as Admin. S/he can do everything that you can do, and thus cause a mess of your forum, be it by mistake or intention.

Uprising, if you make another member into an Admin, then they can do everything that you can do, without exception. In the Admin panel and elsewhere.

Hence this warning:

Exclamation Make sure that you can fully trust someone that you appoint as Admin. S/he can do everything that you can do, and thus cause a mess of your forum, be it by mistake or intention.

So, if you want to have another Admin, make sure that the member knows what s/he is doing, and that you can trust her/him; not only now, but for the future as well.

Also, keep in mind to not work in the Admin Panel at the same time (unless you have "live" contact at the same time).

Uprising, please put the URL to your forum in all you posts. If you put it in your signature, it will always be there.

Uprising did finally put the URL in his signature, already. See this topic:

I'm to blame for his answered and unanswered posts without URL, more than anyone else... Wink

The post I edited instead of quoted tells part of the story... Laughing

I added his url in his post in this thread, to make it easier regarding this thread.

Too bad the signature doesn't get added to all posts a person has made.
