Be very careful to copy and paste the complete code. Double check that the closing tags </ > are there, before you click Edit allow HTML. A missing > can make a mess of your forum.

the header had worked for days,almost a week, with no problem till i allowed members to change there skins
so if put myvalentind header back on will it go again

Sorry if I didn't make it all that clear, Heather...
I have changed templates on Astarte's profile, BloodyMary's profile, and Test 2's profile. I have also tested the smilies on all those accounts.
Then I edited the HTML -- deleted that last <a -- and put the rest of the code back in the header, and tested again that the profile updates and smilies work as they should, and they do.
The only thing I have not meddled with is the Admin, but I am pretty sure that if you make that member an Admin now -- do all the steps anew --, then it should work as well. If not, you will have to come back here...
