You're probably best just having a quick look at my forum to see the problem I'm having.
I want to get the text to be visible in the areas above the topics and posts, that show the topic author/remarks and also show how many views/posts/ etc have been made ..
OUr back ground colour there is dark green - so is the font there. Can i get that font (just in those areas where its not visible) to be white or cream coloured, so that the text there can be read?
I've been trying to figure it our for months.. so belive me, this is not a question borne out of laziness...

The color for those column titles that show on the index page- Forum, Topics, Posts, Last Post, and also "the topic author/remarks and also show how many views/posts/ etc have been made" when in a category section, are controlled by Font Colour 3. To change the color go to Admin panel>Styles Admin>Management. On the page that lists the templates installed on your forum, click on "edit" next to the one you want to edit. Then on the "edit theme" page, go towards the bottom to find the area "Font Colour 3". Change what is there to a color that contrasts with your dark green bar.
Font color 3 also controls the color of the word "Administrator" at the bottom on the forum in the "Who is online" section showing on the index page. Since you have that as the same color green as your color bar at the top, that is why you can't see the words on the color bar at the top of your forum.
Your forum would be a bit easier to tell the difference between different areas if you made the Table Row Colour 1 and Table Row Colour 2 slightly different colors. Usually, Table Row Colour 2 is darker than Table Row Colour 1.
Here is a great color chosing site, where you can put in a color, then click "darker" or "lighter" to get a new color that is the same general color as the other, just lighter or darker:
