Greetings,
My forum is at:

My problem is that I do not want a "text" title, because I have opted for a picture-based title as you can see on my forum.
The problem is that when I leave out the "text" title option (i.e. leave it blank), no title appears at the top of my web-browser... Now, my forum has been going for almost 2 years now, and it still has very little - if any - recognition from Google... I suspect that this is because Google's "Spider" can not find any title for my page and therefore can not index it correctly.
How do I keep the picture title AND have the forum's name at the top of the browser?
I tried putting the title picture in the "logo" section but it is not centred when I do that... and again I still only want the forum name at the top of my web-browser, not written on the main page as it looks silly repeated twice (i.e. above the title picture)...
Thanks for the input, but I have already tried that, and yes, the html shows up in the top bar of Internet Explorer - rather lame looking too I might add.

Not that I know of, no.

Yes, the html shows in the bar, but if you want to hide it like I have on my forum that's the only way.

... I'm having trouble with the "it's the only way" part...
Because, if that is the case, then haven't I exposed a "flaw" in the basic html of forumup web-based boards? A flaw which perhaps, should now be corrected?
Thanks for the input guys, I appreciate it.
And forgive my seeming impatience, but are there any lateral thinkers out there? Or any 'extensively experienced' Mods here who can help with my dilemma?
There MUST be a workaround of some kind... Or are forumup's boards really this limited in capability?

With the new upgrades and soon to phbb3 this may be a default fix. Otherwise it is not a "flaw" in the forum. Whatever you put in the title, may it be HTML code, it will show up in the web browser.

Whether one considers it a "flaw" or not, it is how it is. This forum uses the phpBB forum making program. phpBB is based on the computer language php, not html.
It would be nice if the html tags didn't show in the browser bar.

I think that sums it up... Thanks guys, I really appreciate your feedback and general input.
Wrong choice of words on my part... it's not a "flaw" perse, but I am surprised that the Forumup authors didn't think that perhaps someone might not want to use "text titles" (which limits us to generic fonts) and instead might want to use a picture for their title, whilst at the same time having the title mentioned in Internet Explorer's top bar...
I am surprised at this, that's all... *shrugs
But, if there are updates to the basic structure of our forums (giving us more options), then I can't wait to see them! I hope it is soon.
