As Paypal request I have removed from public the Paypal donate button, because the 0,0007 % of forum can have "spam" and this is a error Paypal cannot "tolerate"
....
Admin can found into admin panel button, and can copy and past code into footer as work arround
If you know other automatic system for payment online give me url for find alternative to add with Paypal
[Note by gg'ssimon: This does not change how the forum owner can pay to remove advertisements from his or her forum. As the forum owner/admin, you go to the Admin Panel> General Admin, and then to ForumUp. Click on the PayPal image to pay. The above message from Raulken only has to do with the public Donate button that shows on the index page of a forum.] _________________

I did see that, but how will my members be able to donate?
I've just paid for another 150,000 ads to go (YAY!), but they also take turns at paying.
I've been speaking to a friend online and he still has the enable/disable icon on his general admin/forumup page. In fact, I just used his donate button to get rid of his ads.....
And, no, I didn't try to use Paypal, never have. _________________

Raulken meant that you can add a PayPal button on your own in the HTML footer section at the bottom of the forum.
Go to Admin Panel>admin>ForumUp. Then add the code in the area that says, "Code at the bottom of the forum, after all topics." _________________ Margaret /gg'ssimon~ForumUp World-Wide Administrator

I found where to post the code.
May I ask what the code is? _________________

It would be the code that PayPal give you for a donate button connected to your PayPal account. You set up a "personal" PayPal account for donations, as opposed to a PayPal account for a business. After you log into your PayPal account, under
"Create Buttons", click "Donate". Then you fill in a form to get the code you need.
You would get the money yourself, into your PayPal account. Then you transfer the funds into your own bank account, so you can use the money. Go to Only registered users can see links on this forum! Register or Login on forum! | for information.
From PayPal's site:
| Quote: | | Simply open an account to begin using Donations, a feature included in Website Payments Standard. It can be as easy as entering a few details into an online form. We'll provide the associated buttons that you paste into your site. Your customers click these buttons and donate securely on PayPal. Accept donations instantly from your website with these buttons. They're easy to place on your site, and there's no programming required. |

Read Raulkens first post.

He means is from the Admin Panel, go to General Admin>>ForumUp, then get the properties of the PayPal Icon. You will have to put it into your own code.
| Code: | | <a href=URL><img border=0 src=http://iwb.forumup.com/immagini/paypal.jpg></a> |
In the code, make sure you replace the URL with the actual URL you get when you press the button.
Put that in your bottom HTML box.
Please ask if you have any questions. _________________ Jordan (PirateScoobs)

I have a personal PayPal account and do not have to pay any fee to receive donations. Where are you seeing that you have to pay a fee to receive donations?
If you set up what PayPal names a "Personal account", you do not pay anything to receive donations.
You would not set up a PayPal "business account".

What PirateScoobs said is a way to do it also. I just wonder about it since PayPay told Raulken what they did. _________________ Margaret /gg'ssimon~ForumUp World-Wide Administrator

You, as administrator, should go to the admin panel. There click on "ForumUp".
When you're there, you'll see "Show without ads" somewhere. If you click the image behind that (of Paypal), you can pay (through Paypal) to get the ads removed. _________________

The paypal page I get from my Admin panel appears to be in Italian.
I can't see any way of changing the page language.
Any suggestions of that? On other paypal pages I've seen there's a dropdown menu for language, but not on the Forumup page I'm linked to from my Admin panel.
Is there a way to fix that? _________________
