Hi,

I've been recieving some ads containing some quite foul language.

Mine is a prefect's support forum and I do not like ads with the whatever downloading business, most of all, one line has the word 'kick-a*s'

I am utterly annoyed with this. Though now the ads have changed to protect the animals, I would like to notify the admin about this.

This is my forumup url:

That link might help. And you might want to use the search engine provided since there have been more then a couple issues on this.

The only way is to pay for no ads.

Well, if you see one again, then get a screenshot so we can let our Webmaster know which particular ads are problems.

I don't mind 90% of the ads that are posted on our forum - the majority are slightly related in that they are game related. Sometimes the ads are actually illegal selling virtual GW gold for example.

BUT the current ad on the forum has the most annoying music attached to it. The ad is for ripmusic.com and has no relevance to our forum topic.

I don't mind the ad being there but would prefer if it can have the music switched off because it interferes with other aspects of our forum.

I don't go with this idea that you must pay to remove ads, if an ad is inappropriate then it shouldn't be there in the first place. We have been using forumup for the ast 3 years and have no complaints until today. All we are asking is that the ad's sound is removed.

thanks

Nym

sorry for spamming, but the ads change everytime I log on to the forum. But I included above the name of the ad in question. At the moment I am showing Avon (not likely to do any business on my site - lol but at least it has no sound)

Our webmaster has gotten some annoying, noisy ads removed, such as that one for Smileys that had a talking voice. We need to know the exact ad, so he can tell the ad server company. It is not ForumUp that is selecting the ads. If you see the ad again, please post a screen shot.
