lately ive been having trouble with individuals who have asked for there accounts to be closed which i have done but they try and re -register under different names and using proxy servers to hide there ip address , is there a way for the forum to detect a proxy server and deny it
at the moment the only way im doing it is to see when there on line and do a whois on the ip and ban it that way ,so just wondering is there a better and faster way to do it
or a list of proxy server ips so i can spend time adding them one by one

ForumUp does not have a list of proxy server IP addresses, the list would be very long. You can use a 3rd party website to check the IP addresses and it can tell you if they are one or not. But this would have to be done manually. Banning IP addresses is not a good idea since some of them can be used by multiple people.
