hi just started my forum,is there a way to make the address a little shorter? ie customrides.co.uk or similar?

No, you cannot alter the URL of your forum. The shortest it xan be is customrides.forumup.us

The url of your forum is just

When you are on a particular page of your forum, the url will have other things in it, corresponding to that particular page.
