sorry im really struggling ive read the faq's etc i can see the extra smilies,ive deleted a couple to add new ones,but when i go to add it wants a code and somthin else on the bottom too?again sorry not very tech minded but trying to learn

Hello darkdezigns,

When your in the Administration Panel, and on the Smilies page. After clicking the "Add a new Smiley" button, you with then be prompted to put a "code" in of what you want to call the smiley.

For instance, if you want the laughing standard smiley, you must type
Code:
 :lol:


That is the code you need to enter for the smiley to appear. Then you name the smiley and put it in the other box. After that click submit and your smiley should be there just fine.

Let me know what happens, the FAQ's should have went through it though.

No, you can just create these yourself. I would make it something more sophisticated than just a word. That way if a person types it, the smiley doesn't accidentally come up.

Like, if the smiley is headbanging then do something like :headbang: for the code. The colons are important, that way if someone just types headbang, they are not promoted to show the smiley.
