Many of my members including me are experiancing this problem since December.
The entire page does not Load and basically just truncates halfway through loading.
I suspect this is server related?
thanks
Sal

The full pages load for me- the index page, lists of topics and full posts pages.
I am using Internet Explorer 7.
If you and your members use Internet Explorer make sure you all have updated to the new version 7. _________________ Margaret /gg'ssimon~ForumUp World-Wide Administrator

Ok I have IE6...
Because from home with IE6 - the full page does load.
Are you sure ity is explore related.
I was thinking maybe its some kind of time out on the server which affected by slow connections?

I don't think its a navigator issue. It works perfectly for me (IE6), index, viewforum and viewtopic. _________________

Would it make sense that its a server time-out on slow conections...
Because I currently have this problem with my two forumup.co.za forums but not with this or other hosted forums...

slow connections sometimes makes phpbb2 not to show the template images, so pages could load but only showing the text in a bad table format. If that's the problem, it's related with slow connections, yes. But if this is the case, that issue only happens sometimes, refreshing the page would probably fix it (most of the times). _________________

nah the page clearly truncates...
Its actually cuts-off in seconds, it doesn't wait for all the posts to load...
On a fast connection like at home - the entire page loads for me but at work it definetly cuts however when there are less than 5 posts on a page it does load the whole page...

Well, then it has to do with your work connection. It is not a problem with ForumUp. _________________ Margaret /gg'ssimon~ForumUp World-Wide Administrator

Can it be firewall related?

Supersal, it is not unlikely that it works if you disable the firewall. However, this does not mean that the firewall is the actual source of the problem (assuming that the firewall is working correctly, of course).
It has to do with the speed -- or lack of same rather -- of the connection, at some point between the forum's server, and the computer you are using. The most likely culprit in this case is your office network, and/or its connection, as gg'ssimon pointed out.
If it used to work at the office, it will maybe do so again, in a not too distant future. Meanwhile you could try a work-around:
Admin Panel >> General Admin >> Configuration
Under General Board Settings you will find Posts Per Page.
Lower that number to something within, or close to, the number of posts that actually load for you. It's a minor inconvenience to be forced to "turn the page" more often, to read the topic.
There is no guarantee that it works, but it has proved to work in similar cases in the past.
