My site is nzstonerrock.forumup.co.nz

I want to use AcidTechGreenEx theme. But whenever I choose it my whole forum turns black. The same thing happens for all the themes that I like so far. A lot of themes do work ok, but I don't like any of the ones that do work. Why does this happen with so many of the themes? My forum is one week old and ive been having the problem right from the first day, before there was even anything on it.

thank you.

Robocop, there is nothing with your forum, it is something that has gone wrong with the templates and/or in the templates database on .co.nz (or on that server rather).

Before we report this to the Webmaster it would be a great help if you could list all the templates that you have found to be "all black" -- as many as you can remember, and an estimate of how many more there were. That will simplify things considerably for the Webmaster.

It may still take some time before he can fix it, though, so my advice to you is to try to find a "good enough" option among the working templates, in the meantime.

Well, none of the AcidTech ones work, I can't remember which others, there were a lot, not just acidtech. It's such a pain having to go through them and then trying to find the 'fix colours' button in the blackness every time.

Thanks a lot! That's a good start, and it may very well be certain design brands -- all templates from certain designers -- that have "gone black", for some reason.

I know all too well, believe me... Rolling Eyes And I did certainly not mean that you should go through them again, to make a list. That's our job... Laughing It was just what you happened to remember.

Once again, thanks for your valuable help, and apologies for all your extra work.

Robocop, Raulken has found the problem, as such. There is a corruption in the Templates database.

At the moment we are going through all the the templates -- install them on by one on test forums and see what happens -- to find the template or templates that cause the mess. And at the same time check and list what's wrong with each and every template, to make sure that the complete database becomes properly restored.

It's a time consuming process, to say the least.

I don't know if this problem is related to the earlier problem that caused the downages, but it seems likely that more than one thing started to go wrong at the same time, or that one caused the other, in whole or in part, like a "domino effect", on that particular server.

We are working hard on it, but at this point I cannot even guess when it will be fixed.
