cretantauros, you have been told many times about this. As for it not being "fair" that it is not easy for YOU, you are being unreasonable. It is not a question of "fairness". Everything in life is not easy for all people. You need to take the time to learn about CSS so you can modify a template in any way you wish to. We cannot send instant knowledge into your brain.

Moving to one's own server would not help the problem of making a new template anyway.

Yes i have asked an expert in css programming and told me that the only thing you can do with css is to change the color of the template.

So send me an example of a fully modified forum that except changed colours has also been modified in style and blocks structure.

When you lock a topic in which i am the author, you seem like to have weakness on answering my very simple questions

Thanks

is a ForumUp forum with the original phpBB theme. As you can see, it does not look like that anymore.

It seems he is not all that expert then. Wink

Why not just leave it for now, and live with your forum the way it is. Take some time to study how to make templates for phpBB.

Yes i mean a forum with a forum board that is with another style designed. Like submerged and subportal
no the just the colours and the backgrounds and the fonts.

Any similar example with a forum that is fully customised? that is has different structure on the boards and it is no just dressed with another colours and buttons and has a different background.

I don't know if you can change the structure. That would be more than modifying, or customizing a theme. That would be basically creating a new one.

We don't have access to all the files, such as the one were new columns can be added to change the structure.

So, in a sense you are correct with what you have been saying, with how how you are meaning the various terms.

You will need to make do with the themes ForumUp has and the structures they have. I am sorry that you are not fully satisified with the themes available. I hope you can find some contentment with one of the available themes.

Oh, I just paid attention to what you said in your first post:

No, the topic was locked because you just keep going on and on about it. It is not the responsibility of the staff to help people modify themes or teach them how to do it.

So, now, no more about it. Let's just leave it at it can't be done and you were right about everything. Now go have fun with making conversations on your forum. Very Happy

Ok.. i am feeling that i am disturbing you here. Because you seem to be bored of answering my questions. Am I? Must I stop?

A last question and then I stop posting in your support forum(?)

By saving my database my users have to register again?
If you do not know to answer this question, where i must ask to give me an exact answer?

PS. I have asked you to tell me if i can change the structure of my forum. It was a very simple question. I have read many tutorials and nothing helped me. It was so difficult for you to say me from the beginning that this is impossible?

The usual answer in forumup: it's impossible, it's impossible

Thanks

Thanks for fixing the captcha error in Subportals registration form..

The act of saving something onto your computer does not change the original. The original is still there. So if you save your database, it will not affect your forum. Users will not have to register again just because you saved the database.

You do have to pay to be able to download your database. The term we use is a "backup". Here is the information:

Simply saving your database won't be of any use, though, unless you will be moving it to a compatible forum program elsewhere. Of course, if you do that, then users need to register again.

No you did not ask if you "can change the structure of" your forum. You asked about "customizing". Changing the structure and customizing an existing template are not the same thing. It seems that English is not your native language. You are not using English words with their precise meanings, then get hostile about replies. We do have a support forum in the Greek language that you might chose to use to make yourself better understood.

Yes, you are disturbing with your many negative remarks about ForumUp, and with asking about the same thing over and over in several threads. So yes, you must stop.

To do what you want to do, change the structure of a template, you will need to have your own web space, install phpBB on your own, then find and load the template file you are interested in. After that, you will need to know CSS and how to make/create new parts to templates. It will involve editing some files. Not some simple easy thing, as you keep thinking it would/should be.

But do give it a try. Perhaps you will be happier that way.
