hi,

I hope this is the place to ask this question.

Probably u should know my question by looking at the subject.

I really love the 'welcome' box on top of the post and am wondering how to make that.

I've gone through the FAQ and didn't help 'coz I first thought this is called a 'banner' but not.

Anyone help?

sfwonders

i suppose that step 1 is to have the ads removed.

after that you drop some html code in the relevant box and you are done Wink

You must pay for no ads first.

If you don't want to pay for ads remove, you may also use some html to write something to that part of your forum.
Code:
<p></p></td>

You should paste this code into a forum description and whatever you write will appear just below the upper ads.

For example:
Code:
<p></p></td> <center><b>Welcome to sfwonders!</b><br>Read this and this and this...</center>
Remember to test it before using on your main forum.

I've test it...... but it didn't work. I want it exactly (well... not the words) the same as the box on top.

The code you gave me turned out to be a box including the welcome bit, logo and the title......

You get what I mean? Sorry for bad grammar 'coz I'm from Hong Kong.

I understand what you mean, but this is an alternative. I just show you another way and the rest is limited with your imagination and html knowledge. Wink

This is not the "box", this is a low priced clone. Very Happy

It is the same code. Just put it into a forum description.

It failed. And even the words (those included in the code)were missing.

sorry to ask for your help so many times, ibrahim, but I just keep making things wrong. Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed

In the Site Decription part, I tried to add the code but soon failed at the sentence:
Code:
You cannot register with a web.de or mail.

(I can't even do the .de part) Rolling Eyes

And this is what it ended up:
Quote:

[logo]
**ALWAYS include the URL to your forum in every post.**
You cannot register with a web.

[{Forum name}]

I have been thinking: Is there a word limit in the description box? Confused
