Hello

I have a problem that has been bought to my attention by another member. Embarassed

My forum is a baby loss forum and one on my members read a

post that was put in by another member. I was told by the member

who read the post that certain words were highlighted in different

colours. One of the words was baby and when this member clicked

on it to her horror it went on to a site advertising how you can

get an abortion. There were several other words highlighted and

each one sent you to a website that was advertising things .After

she had clicked on all the highlighted words then they all became

normal and the adverts disappeared.

I was wondering a few things...

1. Does this happen on a site that you have not paid for adds to be removed?

2. Would the member have known this as she posted her post?.

3.How can I stop this from happening ? as my forum is for bereaved family’s and this will cause upset to many .

4 The member who posted the post lives in America and I know they advertise lots more over there.

Sorry to ask so many questions but I feel I need help.

Kind Regards Sandra

1. If you have removed ads, then yes, they should not be there.

They should only show for the public if you still have ads, and if you have bought no ads, make sure that your ads are on Public, so the links do not show to registered users.

2. No, these links are made from a search engine.

3. You must pay for no ads, and read #1 second paragraph.

4. It does not matter where you live, as it is from Google I believe.

Feel free to ask as many questions as you want as long as you search through our FAQ Folders and use the Search option.
