Forums will migrate to phpBB3 in 2009. We do not know the exact month.

None of the themes/styles for phpbb2 will work on phpbb3. phpbb3 has a new way of making templates. So, the ForumUp forums will not have the same look when ForumUp changes to phpbb3.

There will be new themes/styles available. Some will look the same as they did for phpbb2, if the author of a style updated it to work on phpbb3.

But the content of the forums and the way one has organized the categories should all be the same.

Html is not possible to use in posts or in forum section descriptions on phpbb3, because it allows for security problems.

Apart from other staff and other users that no how to.
I can tell you alot of things you need to know about phpBB3.

Well first you have complete complete control over your forum,
to do anything, instead of you having to do it via server.

But ForumUp... Raulken does all the server work.

But it is possible to do things that you could never have imagine
doing in phpBB2, also some MODs that you could get in phpBB2,
you can now get them as standard in phpBB3.

Hope that helps Very Happy

No, you will not need to reset permissions and forum categories. You might experience changes in the template and HTML codes, but the general features of the forum should work the same way they do now.
