Selecting and Installing new Themes/Styles/Templates
Here is the page where you can see all the themes/templates/styles available for use on ForumUp forums so you can easily decide which ones you want to add to your own forum:
Only registered users can see links on this forum! Register or Login on forum! |
To add a theme to be available for use on your forum, go to the Admin Panel>Styles Admin>Add. Then, from the list of all the templates, click on "add" next to the one you want to add to be able to be used on your forum.
You can have several templates installed on your forum at a time. Only one will be the default template, but you might want to have some other choices for members to be able to switch to for them to see when logged in. Or, you might want to change the default template based on seasons, for example, maybe switching to one of the winter themes during the winter, so you would then have another template "waiting" to be switched to as the default as you desire.
To make a theme/style/template the default, go to the Admin Panel>General Admin>Configuration. Go to the line saying "Default Style". Select the one you want to be the default.
This will make that theme be the one seen when new people go to your forum page. But, it will allow members to be able to chose to use another template if you have any other installed. Members can change the template they personally see in their profile.
If you want only a certain template/style to ever be seen by anyone going to your forum, with members not having other choices, either only have that one theme installed so there is no other choice, or click on "Yes" next the line that says, "Override user style. Replaces users style with the default."
You cannot upload any new themes. Only the Webmaster Raulken can do that. You can request that Raulken makes some new theme available for ForumUp forums. Make the request in the Requests folder.
